Fox 2: Veteran finds hope after choosing to ask for help

A Navy veteran named Alex Diaz Jr. went from owning a home and cars to living on the streets for “72 hours,” and with the help of Volunteers of America Michigan he learned to set aside his pride and accept support so he could regain stability and hope in his life.

Today, D’Andre works nearby, Minty begins school with confidence, and Erica runs a business supporting fellow veterans.
