Rise and Recognize

A New Kind of R&R

Held Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Park West Gallery in Southfield, the inaugural Rise and Recognize Awards Breakfast brought together friends, supporters, and change makers to honor celebrate the unique ways they have advanced VOA Michigan’s mission and changed lives.

A new tradition, born from 130 years of purpose.

As part of the celebration, guests stepped into Park West Gallery for a strolling breakfast, enjoying a relaxed, come-and-go gathering with something a little special woven in.

Throughout the morning, attendees cast light, optional “votes” to spotlight the nominees they most wanted to learn about and recognize. Stories were shared. Coffee was poured. And at the end of the morning, the most-supported nominee in each category stepped up to share a few words about why supporting VOAMI matters.

This exclusive event marked the start of a new legacy and highlighted the people who make our mission possible.
