2017 Veteran Tribute honoring Major General Gregory J. Vadnais
Gregory J. Vadnais’ military career began in 1970 when he enlisted as a soldier in the Michigan Army National Guard.
Today, as the Adjutant General for Michigan, he commands and directs the Michigan Army and Air National Guard, with a total of 159 units. As the Director of Military and Veterans Affairs, he serves the state’s estimated 640,000 veterans.
In times of war and times of peace, he has demonstrated a sense of duty to the men and women who have followed his leadership and ensured our freedom.
This unwavering sense of responsibility should inspire all of us. It is exactly this standard of service that Volunteers of America Michigan seeks to emulate in its own work — and to recognize in the Veteran Tribute.
